    October 12, 1998

    Update for Moberly 56K customers
The new digital trunk didn't get installed last week as planned, but SWBell has it scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14th. Sorry for any inconvenience.

    September 29, 1998

    ATTENTION MOBERLY 56K customers
Lately there has been a lot of useage in the evenings on the digital 56K lines. This has resulted in a few busy signals. More digital equipment and digital lines have been ordered, and will be installed by Oct. 9th. If you need access and get a busy signal on the digital lines, you could always dial the analog lines - 269-8282.

While this was being set up, I had to take the web and mail server down a few times. Everything should be running fine now, sorry for any temporary inconvenience.

    April 8, 1998

Well, it looks like we have survived a fatal hard drive crash without losing too much. I have learned a few things during the last few days:
    1. Always have a RELIABLE backup of all important data.
    2. Tapes are not always reliable.
    3. Hard drives DO sometimes crash.
I am installing a new machine dedicated to backing up all system and customer files to a second hard drive and also writing them to CDRom. If this happens again, everything should be back within hours.
Thank you for your patience during this ordeal.

    March 24, 1998

Today we added a new POP in Mendon, which will serve Mendon, Sumner and Rothville exchanges.

    December 15, 1997

Today a new POP was opened in Huntsville. Huntsville customers will no longer have to rely on COS for internet connections through MCM Systems.

    October 25, 1997

Clarence is the latest addition to MCM Systems local POPs.

    Sept. 14, 1997

As you may have noticed, we have added a new POP in Madison. The Madison number will serve Madison, Holliday and Middle Grove. This gives us a continuous coverage area from Glasgow/New Franklin to Paris. Thanks to all the Madison area customers who have been patient waiting for the new number. Alltel will be cutting in a new dedicated cable for us this week, there may be a short outage while this is happening.

    July 16, 1997

I would like to start this off by thanking all my customers. Without you none of this would be possible.

I have been asked a few times if I was going to change my prices. I will have to answer this by saying no. We have been in business for 18 months now, and my committment is to provide you with the BEST service around. To maintain this level of service requires continual upgrades in equipment, facilities, software and training. We feel you, our customers, deserve the best connection and services possible and strive to provide that at a reasonable rate. I refuse to cut the quality of service to save a few dollars. We are committed to providing enough phone lines that you should rarely, if ever, get a busy signal.

Why we don't offer "unlimited access"

When an ISP offers "unlimited access", they open themselves up to abuse by a certain percentage of users who will not hang up when not using the Internet. This ties up equipment which could be used by other subscribers, thereby harming other users if the lines are busy. We provide a very generous 150 hours a month, which is 5 hours a day average. If you need more time than this, the charge is only $5 extra.

I have always believed providing quality service for quality customers is the only way to be satisfied with yourself and your company.
