A couple of weeks ago, we were approached by a homeowner from Moberly, Missouri who had

Upon preparing to leave the house on 4-2-03 this last EVP was obtained.

Whether this is the case or not....we had to laugh to ourselves the similarities of the

We feel that the first part of this EVP is the old lady spirit again,

The quality of each EVP "ghost / spirit voice" varies greatly also.
When we listen to our recorded tapes trying to find EVP's "spirit voices", sometimes they jump
right out at us because they are so clear and distinct.
These are the type of EVP's "spirit / ghost" voices that require little if "any" filtering or amplification.
They are clear and clean and almost everyone that hears them hears the same word or
phrase being spoken.
These are the "Home Runs" of ghost voice recordings, but unfortunatly they only account for about 2%
of the voices we capture on tape.
"barely" there. These are the type of sounds that are usually so faint that sometimes you
wonder if you really heard them when you listen to the tape for the first time.
Once it is determined that something is there, the sound is transfered to the computer,
isolated and amplified. Once amplified, it is determined whether or not "filtering" the
static out from around the voice may allow it to be heard with more clarity.
Sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't.
Most of the time, this type of EVP requires amplification and at least "some" degree
of filtering so that the voice can be understood.
Filtering out the static allows the ghost voice to be heard but it also sometimes leaves behind
soft, musical sounding harmonics mixed in with the EVP voice.
The "amount" of the harmonics varies from voice to voice.
EVP's in this catagory tend to be the type where some people will hear something entirely
different than from what others hear. This is a strange phenomena.
Voices that sound perfectly plain to some people will sound entirely different to someone else.
I call this the 90/10 effect.
About ninety percent of folks will hear "one" word or phrase, and about ten percent of
folks will hear something else.

Also....keep in mind that if the voices sound remote or mechanical at times, that these people
who are somehow speaking them, no longer have a "physical" voicebox.
Somehow....they are assimilating the "memories" of how they sounded when they were in "our" world.
We also do not know all the factors involved that cause the quality of the recordings
to vary so widely. Solar flares from the Sun, the position of the Moon and the Geomagnetic condition
of the Earth itself seem to influence ghost voice recordings....but much more research needs to be done.

Our first paranormal "Investigation".
WOW! Did we ever have fun recording "these" EVP's!
visited our site. He owns a home which was built in 1902 and is now vacant and
in declining condition. He explained to us that over a period of time, he and his wife
had been working in the house in an effort to restore it to a liveable condition.
What they "didn't" tell each other until very recently was that BOTH of them had seen an
apparition of an old lady in the home looking upon them in a stearn manner.
The male homeowner saw her reflected in a mirror that was hanging in a hallway.....and his
Wife admitted to seeing her in nearly the same location.
Both times....the apparition was there only for an instant....then vanished.
On March 30, 2003 we met the homeowner, who wishes to
remain nameless, at the home in the
afternoon.
He also asked that we not reveal the exact location
of the home and
we agreed.
My friend Melissa and I accompanied the homeowner on a tour of the aged two
story home from the cellar to the upstairs portion of the house.
From time to time, we seemed to sense a presence around us.
Both Melissa and I asked
any spirits that might be there to speak to us.
Both of us were carrying our recorders
which were running all the time.
We were there for an extended period of time.....and when we left
to go home there was
a lot of tape to listen to.
Both Melissa and I found on the tape areas that could have
possibly been EVP's....but they were faint and impossible to verify.
Upon awakening....I began listening to the remainder of the tape, where I heard Melissa's
voice, talking to the spirits....saying, "I need to know
how you died....I want to
know if I'm right."
She had just verbalized to the homeowner and I how she thought the
troubled spirit of the house had passed away.
After she say's that, listen carefully to the sound file. You will also hear her say.....
"It's right in this room".
Her brief psychic flash was correct....the spirit / ghost "Was"
in that room....and between Melissa's words and nervous laughter listen carefully....to
what sounds like someone with a raspy voice say...."Leave me alone!"

We could plainly hear whispering on the tape....but it took a while
to decipher what we "think" is being said.
For whatever reason....the spirit / ghost voice seems to be whispering...."Look behind you!"

Further recordings were taken at the house on the evening of April , 2003
spirit of the old lady that we heard on the initial visit.
These next two EVP's were collected by Melissa.....and I think they are
nothing short of remarkable.
After finding this next file we came away feeling excited yet somewhat saddened
by what the spirit says......
In the first sound file....you will hear Melissa's voice saying..."Anyone
want to talk to us?" This is followed by the old ladies voice....saying what sounds like
"Caleb loved me."
"Caleb loved me"

The last one is the slowed down version.
I find this EVP simply astounding....and have to wonder....was Caleb her husband?
and if so....why was he not with her?
We probably will never know.
In any regard....we hope that this troubled spirit somehow finds peace.

We were informed that the home had been sold and that this was
the final night that we
would be able to visit.
What follows are a incredible mixture of EVPs taken that night!
While we were graced with the visit of the spirit of the old lady on the first two visits,
it seems that word got out that we were able to hear her and a "crowd" of "ghosts / spirits"
apparently were waiting.
circumstances to the movie "Ghost", where Whoopie Goldbergs charactor was overwhelmed with
anxious spirits waiting their turn to use her in attempting contact with the living. :)
However....they were all there that evening....so I'm putting them all up
for people to listen to. The descriptions included with each of them is what "I" hear.
I understand that when listening to EVP's, we the living sometimes hear completely
different things.
I invite anyone out there to email me with what "they" hear if
they are percieving the file differently. :)

I think this file is important because it seems to indicate interaction

Melissa had just asked everyone else in the group to go downstairs leaving her
alone to record in the upstairs of the house.
She had a feeling she should do this...and apparently she was right.
You hear a womans voice say something like...."Mary loves you....or....Mary wants you
or Freddie wants you".
immediatly followed by the voice of the elderly
lady again saying...."Goodbye"
We believe it is possible that because the others were going
downstairs....she thought
they were leaving.
In any case....its a good ghost voice recording. :)

He blurts out two fairly clear phrases.
The first sounds like...."Where did they go?"
Followed almost immediatly by...."There they go!"
Perhaps this spirit momentarily lost our group of investigators as they moved
through the big house. :)
Who knows....in any regard....its a strange and facinating EVP.
