James Jesse was not living with the family by 1920. We are
not sure where he was living, but he occasionally would show up-according to
family lore. He eventually lost contact
with the family altogether, until he died.
They were sent a wire of his death and a couple of Grandpa's brothers
went to pick up his body in St. Joseph.
According to June Allen, a wake and funeral was held in Grandma Mary
Alice's home for him. She remembers the
funeral.
