He died (This is Fred's obituary: Fred Farrell, 66, native Texan and pioneer Fort Worth Livestock man, died in All Saints Hospital Monday morning after an illness of three weeks. Widely known among Texas sheep men as a partner in the Fort Worth firm of Farrell and Johnson, Livestock Exchange building, Farrell had been active in the livestock business since he moved here from Richardson in 1918. He was born in Plano and was engaged int he cattle business in Richardson for a short time. On arriving in Fort Worth, Farrell was employed by the old livestock firm of Boswell-Kahn-Womble, which specialized in sheep. A few years later, he entered that business for himself and in 1937 became associated with William Johnson in the present firm. His sheep-judging ability and private, personal charities were a tradition in stockyard circles. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in Shannon Funeral Chapel with burial in Greenwood. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myra Buchanan Farrell of 1206 NW 15th: a daughter Mrs. Duncan McRae of Tulsa: son.
