Guidance and Counseling

Mrs. Trisa Redington is the Guidance Counselor at the Holliday C-2 School. 
She is certified and has a Masters degree.  She has served as a counselor for over 5 years outside the classroom. 
She provides activities using the Missouri Counseling Model and changes that Curriculum to fit our district.
 Students like Counseling. 
Mrs. Redington is the Student Council sponsor, Special Education teacher, and 6th and 7th grade Language Arts Teacher.


Counselor of the Year 2006

    Mrs. Redington was named the Northeast Missouri Middle School/Jr High Counselor of the Year.  Mrs. Redington was honored by the Northeast Area Missouri School Counselor's Association at the Pear Tree restaurant in Bevier.  The purpose of the award is to recognize a counselor for outstanding service achievement.
    Mrs. Redington goes above and beyound the regular duties.  Mrs. Redington started the Fab Four, in which students are required to be on the Honor roll, have high attendance, good character, and at least 30 hours of tutoring during the year.  Students' grades have improved, attendance is excellent, and there has been a decrease in discipline problems.  Students have recieved incentives to stay in the program including trips to the Columbia Athletic Recreation Center, a trip to a play, trip to St. Louis Cardinal game and special parties.  Mrs. Redington has written for donations and has ben able to support the activities throufh donated money.
