The kindergarten and first grade class has been busy this fall studying about insects, apples, and pumpkins.  We have been working with our sixth and seventh grade partners on several projects related to these topics.  We studied about many types of insects and our partners helped make insect models.  Apples was another favorite topic.  Our parents and grandparents came for VIP day and we did apple experiments.  We also peeled and cored apples and made applesauce.  Pumpkins were donated by a grandparent and the children were able to do pumpkin experiments.  When we were done with the experiments, we got to carve our pumpkins.
