Recess
The
students in K-8 receive recess. It is
time-honored traditions to have all students attend recess where they
can play. Teachers know that students need
time to play. They know that physical
activity helps students stay alert and actually helps children learn
academically. Students usually
choose what activity they want to participate in during recess so we
call it “free-play”. It is common for the
younger student to play tag or play on the playground equipment. Older students often play basketball, soccer
or touch football.
